Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix in the mashed banana until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and walnuts (if using).
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add ½ teaspoon of nutmeg or a dash of maple syrup.
